Cellucity has opened pre-registrations for Google’s new Pixel range of smartphones.
The mobile retailer estimates that the 32GB Pixel will cost around R9,999. Cellucity said this is a rough estimate only.
It will confirm the launch date of the phone closer to the time, it said.
Pre-orders for the Pixel opened in the US yesterday at $649 from Google’s online store.
Clients in Australia, Canada, Germany, and the UK can also pre-order the device.
Google has confirmed that the Pixel and Pixel XL will run a customised version of Android Nougat.
Pixel devices will also have Google Assistant built in, as well as support for Daydream virtual reality.
The Pixel provides USB Type-C and 3.5mm headphone ports, and is not water resistant.
